Introduction to Generative AI (MICRB #311) - 6 hrs

In this dynamic, hands-on course, students will explore how ChatGPT can transform the classroom--taking you from first-time users to power pros. Dive into AI basics, discover creative ways to use ChatGPT in education, and walk away with ready-to-use resources. Laptop required (a phone will not suffice) and successful completion of the three activities in order to get credit for the course.

Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Explain how AI works
• Summarize and demonstrate the different ways in which they can utilize ChatGPT
• Develop a tool to use in their classes using ChatGPT
