Pipeline Emergencies Train-the-Trainer

Instructional Hours: 8.00

This Train-the-Trainer, 8-hour program will focus on pipeline emergency response and include classroom-based exercises providing responders with a chance to practice what they have learned.

The course is based on the 3rd edition of Pipeline Emergencies curriculum, which has been a thorough guide for incident response for first responder across the country.

Pipeline Emergencies is designed to help fire service and industry emergency responders develop the knowledge and skills necessary to manage a pipeline incident safely and effectively. It is based on nationally recognized engineering practices, recommended operating practices, and training programs.

Fire Chief (Ret.) Philip Oakes will be the instructor for this program. With more than 23 years of experience and response to numerous oil field and energy emergencies, Philip has taught this curriculum all over the world.

This course is presented by the National Association of State Fire Marshals in conjunction with DOT, PHMSA and Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute.
