Law Enforcement Scenarios

Commanding law enforcement incidents requires an enhanced law enforcement command (both single and unified command) and the law enforcement branch director’s command organization

Commanding law enforcement incidents requires an enhanced law enforcement command (both single and unified command) and the law enforcement branch director’s command organization. These command changes are discussed in detail during the simulations. Span of control using branches, division, and groups are detailed. Law enforcement simulations teach the lessons learned from NTSB investigations and prior command experiences of law enforcement commanders and law enforcement branch directors. These skills are based on research data from incidents including failure to complete and obtain successful size up information, recognize how and what resources are needed, and understand the dynamics of a major law enforcement incident. To prepare patrol officers, special operation units of all disciplines, and command officers for the future they will learn cutting edge technology, critical thinking, and appropriate decision making. When considering law enforcement incidents in your community, the ICSC will address command, tactics, and safety concerns for combating these incidents.
